I need help finding the driver for my havit usb joystick. It is a "HV G61". I can't seem to find it anywhere and I'm pretty sure the company doesn't exist anymore. This includes support for communicating with applications that use GDI to draw images on the screen like Microsoft Word or Microsoft Paint. GDI is contained in the kernel (GDI.sys), and consists of the following components:The Windows XP operating system has many graphical components working together, including DirectX 9c/10, GDI, DirectDraw, Direct3D 10, DirectSound etc. For example, DirectX contains an Input Output (IO) Manager service while Windows Media Player contains a graphics engine. The graphics engine in Windows Media Player allows it to render 3D graphics. DirectX is designed specifically for video games and other real-time multimedia applications that require 3D computer graphics rendering by the CPU instead of pulling up already rendered graphics from memory. DirectDraw is the component that controls the display output. This is where all graphics are held, 3D or otherwise. DirectDraw uses DDBs (Display Description Block) to store data for each scan-line of each plane (the plane is essentially what you see on screen). The number of scanlines and planes available is determined by the video card's capabilities, which can be queried by DirectDraw. DirectDraw also uses DDLs (Device Description Language Blocks) to store resolutions used in full screen mode, location of display memory registers, color history, palette data and other information about graphics modes that can be used in non-full screen modes. DirectSound uses an API (Application Programming Interface) that is designed to control various types of hardware, such as sound cards. DirectSound, unlike DirectDraw or Direct3D, can be used to output sounds from a program. The API has a large number of variables that a program can use to determine what type of hardware it is connected to and what the capabilities of the hardware are. The API also has functions for taking command from the user without having to have direct access to the sound card itself. One example is playing a sound at a specific location on screen.
